The VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City
This hotel has a great location, not quite as good as The Grand City Hotel, or The Dynasty, but the VIP is a nicer hotel, albeit more expensive. Their lobby is the most inviting also for hanging out, if you are looking to meet other people. VIP Class rooms are P1524.45 (~$30), Executive Suites are P2163.93 (~$40), and Presidential Suites P3147.54 (~$60). Add 12% Gov’t tax and a 10% service charge to the above rates. Plus, if you’ll have to add P295.08 (~$6) for each additional person in the room. If you’re not a budget traveler like me, and you want to be in the heart of Divisoria, this is the place to stay. The food is good and the staff is friendly and courteous. WiFi is available through the same carrier that serves Bo’s Coffee Club, a 3 hour access card will cost you P100 (~$2) and a 10-hour access card will cost you P300 (~$6). The suites have kitchettes and refrigerators.
