Office Blessing

We moved into new office space on October 1, 2006, but it took two and a half months to do our official office opening, ribbon-cutting and office blessing ceremony.

To cut the ribbon we had City Councilor Benjo Benaldo and Barangay Eight Chairman Neri.

There are some superstitions I also participated in. For instance, you are supposed to have a jar, can or glass of coins (I suppose a coconut shell would have worked) and you take a goodly portion of the coins and sprinkle it about the office being blessed and allow the people there to scamper about and pick up the coins to keep and spend on themselves.

The remaining coins you keep in the container in the office, and this is supposed to bring prosperity to the office.

I think I must have slung more than 500 pesos about the office.

I don’t have a lot of confidence that this kind of superstition works, but if it does, I’m not going to skimp.

The blessed.

More blessed.

Harvest SEO is my American Company. Sticky Media Solutions is the Philippines company that handles the work for Harvest. They are separate entities, but oh so closely entwined that in many ways they are the same, but yet not exactly.
