Firing Speed
I am definitely getting better at my shooting, but my times are not improving. At the latest Firing Competition, the City Director’s Cup, put on my Colonel Aurilllo “Doi” Trampe, I had the highest points score of any shooter, but I ranked at about the 35% percentile of all shooters.
This is because total point score is divided by time to complete the course. I outscored everyone (in points), but my time was about three times longer on average to complete courses than the top shooters.
The above image of my score sheet shows a perfect score of 32 “Alphas” (bullseyes), yet Ansell completed the course with almost as many points in half th time. Click the image, above, for a short video of my shooting on this particular range.
