Colonel Isagani Genabe, Jr.
I gotta be one of the luckiest foreigners in The Philippines. I get my photo taken with all sorts of prominent and famous people. Probably because I’m just so cool and good looking.
Here I am with the new Cagayan de Oro City Police Director Superintendent Colonel Isagani Genabe, Jr.
From the previous photos I had seen of Colonel Genabe, I thought he was the size of John Wayne, about 6’4″ tall, but turns out he’s of average Filipino height. He just always looks huge in the local newspapers.
I’ve also had my photo taken with Maui Taylor (and got to kiss her), with Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Tinnex Jaraula, with Vice President of The Philippines Noli de Castro, National Security Adviser (and previously Secretary of Defense) Norberto Gonzalez, and previous Cagayan de Oro City Police Director Superintendent Colonel Doi Trampe.
Gloria was here in Cagayan de Oro yesterday, and she texted me, hoping to get a photo with me, but I had a previous engagement scheduled and couldn’t make it.

Philippine culture does adore white people ,colonial mentality or molded from centuries under colonization .Expats are readily accepted in the community ,even treated like celebrities. If you look at filipino celebs ,surprisingly physical features across the board don’t represent the majority dark brown small framed pinoys/pinays.Indeed majority do look like half blooded filipinos with caucasian features. Personally, I thought of it as something like cultural denial of the real roots.Anyway, this is another story.Looks like you qualify to cast in Philippine cinematic roles ,lol ;-D)))
