Makahambus Adventure Park
After visiting Makahambus Cave, our next stop was just 50 meters up the road and across the street at Makahambus Adventure Park.
This place is sometimes called “Makahambus Gorge”, but it is really a sinkhole. There is no such thing as ciruclar gorge. What happened, a long, long time ago, was that the ground above an underground stream or river collapsed into the river.
At the bottom of Makahambus Gorge you can see where the stream enters into the bottom of the gorge and then exits into the hill on the other side.
The depth of the gorge is about 150 feet. They have cable-and-plank walkway bridges built from the edge of the gorge that have stopping points at several large trees that rise from the bottom of the gorge.
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk across the bridges and get to the zip-line, which is the way you return to the starting point.
A zip line is a cable, upon which you anchor a rope with rollers on it. A second cable is provided as a safety measure, in the event the zip-line cabe were to break.
The zipline is about 120 meters in length.

I would estimate my speed got up to about 50 kph on my return zip ride. I tried to stay straight but spun around in a compelete 360 during the ride.
It was exhilerating. We did not try rappelling down the cliff face, but that would have been fun to do also.
The cost for the Sky bride & Zipline is P300 per person. The cost for rappelling is P300 per person. If you want to try both, it’s p500.
