I think, more than tradition, filipinos &quot;who can afford&quot; celebrate thier kid&#039;s birthday for &quot;showing off&quot; that they can afford. Aside from that, filipinos generally love to eat unhealthy food. So whenever there&#039;s an excuse to eat Lechon and drink lots of beers, filipinos will have a big bangin&#039; party.

By the way, I&#039;m a Filipino.. sigh</description>
